In a letter from Reuel Haskell, Jr. to Alice Paulina Leary, Reuel refers to the death of Dean's wife:
Dean took Meda's death very hard, but trust time, as it always does, will in a short time heal over his grief, partially, at least, and he can remember all the good times they spent together, in a different way. Of course his loss cannot be entirely erased from his mind, but much consolation will be experienced from recollections of such a long and happy married life.
Alice Paulina Leary's address book has Dean Haskell living at 611 Linden St., Lima, Ohio.
