John Henry Leary

John H. Leary is buried in the Civil War section of Woodbine Cemetery, Harrisonburg, Virginia. This is where the Confederate monument is located.

John served in the 33rd Virginia Infantry of the Confederate army. This unit was part of the "Stonewall Bregade" named for General Stonewall Jackson.

According to the 1850 census John could not read or write.
