From poor handwriting and studying Michigan Marriages, 1868-1925, my best guess is that Margaret's maiden name was Prouse.
A 1915 map of Sciota Township shows Margaret Nixon owning 94 acres directly southeast of the intersection of W. Bennington Road and Leland Road. This is the land that John Nixon owned in another map dated 1895.
Searching for information I have seen her name listed as Martha Pease Nixon.
Margaret married John Albert Nixon, son of Albert Nixon and Amelia Ragley, on 1 May 1900 in Shiawassee County, Michigan. (John Albert Nixon was born on 23 Sep 1831 in England,209 died on 17 Feb 1902 in Sciota, Michigan and was buried on 20 Feb 1902 in Middlebury Cemetery, Shiawassee County, Michigan.)
