Frederick Nelson Welsh
Fred Welsh was living and working on the family farm in Armada when he joined the Marines. Though he was sent to the western pacific, it was the period between the war with Japan and then Korea. After being discharged he lived in Detroit. He ended up working for his brother, Eldon Coller, who owned the Professional Art Studios in Detroit. He would work in sales, create art, take pictures and work closely with Eldon for many years.
Frederick married Sonja H. Holler on 25 Apr 1959. The marriage ended in divorce in 1977.
Frederick next married Elizabeth F. Oke on 3 Aug 1995 in Farmington, Michigan. |
