bullet  General Notes:

Thomas J. Miller and Wheeler G. Miller had a real estate office in Ohio known as Miller Bros. Real Estate. The business was started after Wheeler G. Miller taught for 23 years in Putnam County, Ohio.

According to the 1895 Atlas of Putnam County, T. J. Miller owned 40 acres which adjoined, on the east side, the 80 acres of land owned by Sarah Ann Miller. Sarah's land was at the N. W. corner of the intersection of C and 11A in Liberty Township, Putnam County, Ohio. Sarah had an additional 40 acres at the N. E. corner of the intersection.

Miller Brothers Real Estate actively purchased land in Michigan. According to 1906 plat maps, Thomas owned a total of 520 acres in sections 14, 25 and 26 of Lamotte Township, Sanilac County, Michigan. The plat book also states that Thomas J. Miller settled in Sanilac County in 1903 and was a farmer. In 1903 John Harvey Miller also moved to this area from Ohio where he purchased 120 acres in section 26. By 1910 Thomas had moved back to Ohio. 100
