According to the 1870 Michigan Census, when Jennette was three years old, she lived in Sciota Township, Shiawassee County. The family used the post office in Laingsburg. In all probability, this is where she was born.
At the time of her son's death, Rev. Lloyd H. Nixon in 1952, Jennette was living in Pontiac, Michigan.
Jeannette married Rev. William Gay Nixon D.D., son of John Albert Nixon and Anna E. Austin, in 1888 in Owosso, Michigan.182 (Rev.
