Leroy's nickname was Buck.
Leroy Haskell was appointed to the Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. He was there preparing for his entrance exam in 1930. He served in WWII and the Korean war and retired as a Captain.
While in the military he met his second wife, Marion. They retired to Calistoga, California and both ended up in a nursing home before their deaths. Leroy had a son living in Dallas, Texas at the time of his death, but his name is not known.
