Charles Mickel died of carcinoma of urinary bladder.

Charles B. Mickel Obituary: "He received his education in Ceresco schools and later was a successful teacher in the rural schools of that vicinity.
He attended Michigan State Normal College at Ypsilanti... He continued teaching in the Ceresco school and then in the Macon village and rural schools.
In 1905 he bought the farm one mile west of Macon where he spent the remainder of hils life. He served for many years as secretary of the Macon Telephone Co.; also as director of Macon school district no. 1..."
