When Christian Kobel was born in 1765 in Bethel, Pennsylvania, his father, Johann, was 24 and his mother, Catherine, was 24. He married Catherine Roth/Rhodes Kobel in 1786 in Pennsylvania. They had ten children in 56 years. He died on October 4, 1830, in Wayne, Ohio, at the age of 65, and was buried in Wayne, Ohio.
