Cindy was adopted by Jacqueline Fae Hutchinson Whysall and John Whysall. Jacqueline was the older sister of Cindy's mother - Helen Hutchinson. Helen was young when Cindy was born. The adoption took place at the Lapeer Court House. Mrs. Tunnison was the case worker.
