Floyd Sherman Nixon Jr.

Floyd S Nixon Jr. grew up in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan and graduated from Grosse Pointe High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946. He completed his degree in civil engineering at the University of Wisconsin. He was highly active and well respected in his church and community. He died suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack at age 57. His generosity and sense of humor are greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Marge worked as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Grosse Pointe Public School system for many years until her retirement, and was also an active volunteer in the community. She passed on Christmas Day 2009, ending her battle with Alzheimer's. Floyd and Marge had 5 children.

Floyd married Marjorie Jane Quermann on 24 Aug 1950. (Marjorie Jane Quermann was born on 3 Jul 1928 and died on 25 Dec 2009.)
